A song that reminds you of someone.
Oh, my. This could take a very long while. So many songs and so many someones. For this moment, let me just say this one just popped into my head.
It reminds me of one of my sisters. We both made enormous life changes including ending long-term relationships/marriages and moving to other cities in the midst of losing our mother. This song held me up on days when the going got tough and once, last year when dropping my sister off at her new apartment, this song started playing on the radio.
I reached for her hand, asked her to wait in my car with me and listen to it, saying, “Oh l love this song!” My sister did, too.
By the end of the song, we were emotionally belting out the chorus together right there in the parking lot of her apartment complex. Later, when we went out dancing together (go out with your sister, go home with your sister, I love it!) and asked the DJ to play it so we could dance to it, he wouldn’t. Too much of a “chick song” maybe to keep the floor hopping but we love it, still.
More power to strong women who are all about goodness! We rock and so does this song, pay attention to the lyrics and the video is good, too, we find them inspiring… enjoy…
Had never heard this one before, and I love it! Thanks for sharing. Those moments of true connection are the ones we carry with us for the rest of our lives. Glad you have that with your sis!
Hey, woman! How are you? So nice to see you! Don’t tell me, you’ve been writing, writing, writing like a fiend (don’t tell me because I will feel so guilty, lol)… It’s true our connections matter, love mine with you, thanks for visiting my pages, Hawley. See you soon!
Loved this, dust and gravity…her voice is catchy. I never heard it before. I posted a remix of it you can actually dance too
I Am The Color Yellow
Thanks, C, it is a very good song and I actually danced to the original many times, it’s very good, words and lyrics
