Sharing the following compliments of a brother friend of mine since we were about 17 years old. He knows both my ex/separated husband and my former bestie friend. I asked if I could share them here and he howled. So there you have it and I apologize in advance if anyone is offended. That is not the intention and I fully understand that both genders can behave MOST INAPPROPRIATELY, oh, how I get that one, including best friend/women. Working in Corrections leaves one with a humour that can be a little beyond edgy but these are rather mild in comparison to some jokes shared by guards where I once worked. Very mild, hope you giggle or at least get some writing inspiration. I, apparently, have, lol.
HOW TO KNOW WHEN A WOMAN IS PISSED!!!!

Those were funny! But crazy and some kind of made me ashamed of women. I get being angry, but is vandalizing really the answer?
Oh, don’t be ashamed of being a woman, Holly! You didn’t actively do any of those things. Not all of us resort to such acts. Vandalizing is not the answer and I am in no way endorsing it, but for some, I think I can understand the outlet to release their pain and hurt. None of it is good or healthy but it is a whole lot nicer than guns or bloodshed. Men do these things to women and more so try not to see it as a reflection of women so much as a reflection of human reactivity. I used to work with victims of violence who were stalked by their former partners and it can get so ugly, you really think you are watching a terrible movie. Sometimes it seemed like it would never end and sometimes it, sadly, ended in tragedy. But it happens every day where humans either have no outlet to process their emotions in a healthy fashion or choose the mode of payback instead of sitback. Payback is like a sour boomerang that will always return home. Sitback means they will, eventually, get what is coming to them and all we really need to do is learn to take good care of ourselves even if that means getting legal protection in place to keep us safe. Oh, dear, I digress into a whole other blog topic. But know this, Crazy Chick, we are good women who ROAR goodness and likely always will. 3 Hearts
Sorry :S I didn’t exactly mean ashamed of *being* a women, lol. I don’t know what I meant
, but I’m not ashamed. I’ve never been in a situation that would make me lash out at a guy (well, I guess I sort of have, but that’s another story, maybe someday blog post) so I don’t know what lengths I would go to. And yeah, everyone reacts differently and I’m sure some of those guys deserved it! And your right – destroying property is much better than physically destroying a person. And the posters, trailer, billboard, and banner were awesome!
Glad to know. I wasn’t sure, just didn’t want you to feel bad because there are a lot of us “good” women out here reflecting you right back
It was funny, just the giggle I needed that day. Anytime you post your story mentioned above, please let me know. I’d love to read it, Holly. See you soon.
I will do my best. Lafemmeroar already wants to hear it too, lol. I think I’m going to leave if for when this year is over. I’m not sure if I’m going to continue this blog (I like the hollyjb and I don’t want to really use anything else) after, or add another one and keep this year as just this year. Because of course the tag line will no longer be ‘my year in Belgium’!
I get it. I really do. Don’t think I could do it if it happened to me. Maybe I would do the sign on the trailer with his junk on it. And blog about it. And the flyer. And…okay, I think I’m capable of all these things.
LOL You are so funny. I never did any of them but the one I liked best was the LOST DOG poster. It’s closest to who I am if I were to choose one of those. Words are my way and if I can’t get anywhere in sheer communication, I can’t get anywhere, anyway. Just wanted to share my friend’s funnies because he is a man (happily married) and has worn my shoes. It’s like releasing negativity bit by bit, it’s all going, with every giggle
That’s some serious public venting! Very funny and I’m sure what the doctor ordered…;)
It was fun. I asked my friend if I could post it here and he said, well that’s what I sent it for (jokingly) but he knew I would share because I was asking. Doctors orders, well that’s another story… just taking a minute at a time here
Ah! Seriously love the “Lost Dog” posters. Too funny!
That’s amazing! When I thought about putting this up, that poster was the only one I really wanted to post. However, my long time friend had sent me the entire lot and I felt maybe others might get more of a kick out of other pics so shared them all. Good to know we live on the same page
Remind me never to tick you off, haha
Well… no promises… ever… but you are pretty safe… my pattern is to vent until spent and then forgive… but NEVER forget… some things you cannot forget no matter how hard you try. Nor should we, or we may have to repeat the nasty lesson, not into that. Off to vent some more, lol,
