This is the before, a $10 junk store find after I removed the clunky old hardware and produced a whole new look circa 2009:
Here is the after (included sandings, paintings, new hardware and tile top for another $40 in materials with the balance my elbow grease):

See? My Interior Design Diploma was not wasted, LOL Actually could do this stuff long before that anyway, have always loved creativity, whatever the form.

Wow, Janice! What a transformation! You’re truly very creative. You changed it beyond recognition, beautiful work! I wonder if I could be as creative…
Are you kidding? Your beautifully stylish blog with the mini mental vacations from daily frenzy into fashion and fun are highly creative! You actually inspired the idea to share some of my other facets and try to keep from being all about the “grinding” word, especially lately, I just don’t have the energy to produce much there at all so this is one way of sharing creatively, as you do!
Beautiful! I love when people can envision the beauty beneath the wear and scars and then unmask it, great job!
It’s a funny thing isn’t it, how when we can do things creatively, we just do what we do and don’t really think much of it until others do. Thanks for the Sunday Sunshine!
An extremely creative person, something I don’t have the knowledge or imagination to do.
Oh, I think you do… just, perhaps, in a different way that is unique to who you are… your writings say it so much better than I ever possibly could.
Nice! A talent I didn’t know about you
You are the DIY Queen
What say you??? A New LIne of Awards hahahahaha Could you kindly do me the favor of reading everything in my Open Letter to All Liars – I know it’s not proof reading (but I will ask that in the future), just appreciate your viewpoints and feedback, Lafemmeroyal award holder for thinking what she says and saying what she thinks! This is my Sunday gratitude going out: I LOVE people who are what they say, walk their talk and blunt is way better than wondering where you stand with people. Never wondering with you, LFR, love the way you roar
You are always so generous with your replies … I need to live up to them …
You do! Because you are YOU. Nothing further required
Bravo! Your talents know no bounds. And your muscles are probably more buff, too!
Well, they were but I haven’t done much that way lately… LOL… should, it’s really soulful like Thomas Moore says of watching dish soap bubbles in Care of the Soul.
Beautiful Job! Yotaki
Thanks, Yotaki, the thing I love most about those projects is the results, LOL
Wow! Love it!
Thanks, Pam for the love
