Last night I challenged a friend I was speaking with to give me a topic, any topic and I would produce a poem on whatever it was. Though it could well have been my own, his chosen question/topic follows.
Why am I afraid to love?
My unedited 30 second reply:
In loving I knew not
That I would realize
Leaving fear behind
Opened loves heart and eyes

Janis, this is an awesome 30-second poem; I love it! Well done!
I would love if you would consider entering my “Word Whisperer” contest – the winner will receive a paperback copy of Love Notes anthology; a collection of romantic poetry from over 80 poets (I have one in there, too.) See my blog for details
Oh, I love it! I missed entering the Dark Globe because I was so busy in real life but will check yours out right now, sounds fun
Thanks kindly for your compliments!

A Beautiful message of hope in Love!
Sometimes when we think it’s love, Wendell, all we really ever had was hope but we just don’t know it until the cold harsh realities hit us in the face. Still, one must move on and try to stay hopeful
