Not much on missing “things,” I am just going to run with my brain on this one.
I miss old party line phones that were connected to a wall and prevented you being on there too long lest you miss out on actually being with the person/people in your world.
I miss sentences, acronyms for sentences really bother me. No wonder so many are inept at spelling in the English language.
I miss manners. Good old-fashioned: please, thank you, may I?, you are welcome, excuse me, pardon me… talking to machines reduces our ability to employ manners and, in my observations, this is rapidly transferred to the real world but not mine, if I can help it. Even if someone fails to say thank you, I say you are welcome. Then they go, oh yah, thank you!
Human connections I guess is what I’m saying I miss.
Which leads me to those humans I have had to adjust to the world without.
Today I am missing all of you, Mom, Dad, Mum, Granny, Don, Bill… the list goes on and grows on.
That is life.
Reminder to self: Employ manners no matter what and cherish the people I have right now.
Who knows for how long we may have one another.
Happy Sunday, everyone xo
