B.E. or A.E.

Evil woman

Before Evil, I was a good woman with kindest intentions because, after all, who else could befriend such a lowly, traitorous wretch as her Royal Evilness.

Before Evil, I was a good woman with kindest intentions because, after all, who else could befriend such a lowly, traitorous wretch.

Before Evil,  I was a good woman with kindest intentions.

Before Evil,  I was a good woman.

Before Evil,

I was.

  1. What grabs me, disturbs me and haunts me upon reading is the last line, ‘I was’. Perhaps, because over the last couple of days I have been reading and watching the events in Kenya. With such a traumatic event, it is hard to shake what those beings whom survived will go through when they realize ‘what was’ is no longer. Hard to understand what they will feel, but this must be on the map for them.

    • Hudson, I love your thoughtfulness in commenting. Many world events do haunt me in this way as well. I am cautious about what I let in because I can easily nightmare for days. When the Peruvian miners were trapped, I did not know until the day of their rescue. Perfect timing for my weary mind. I just Googled Kenya and what sad images… another man-made tragedy… seems those are the most common kind. Who we are can change. We are all but works in progress with unforeseen character built of dents and blows by others who care not. And we dare call ourselves human… sometimes I do wonder… humanity teeters all too often if you ask me. But you didn’t lol ;) Sending all the goodness of love and healing I can to hurting folks everywhere right now… See you soon.

  2. When you have PTSD every thing that happens that is negative becomes a PTSD event. SO when someone comes around and messes with me or my family it LINGERS.
I just had an incident with an old friend who I reached out to and who decided it was going to be fun to toss a EXTRA painful dig at me. But I did what you did I took my anger and wrote a KICK ASS song and now I feel better and life can go on!
Great poem I hope you have a wonderful week by the way!

Love and peace to you... your thoughts are always welcome here...
